I support people with intimate health issues to take control of their bodies; so they feel physically empowered rather than dominated by their symptoms.
Hi I’m Kate,
Intimate Health Specialist, Nutritional Therapist and Behavioural Change Coach.
Heres a bit about my history and how I came to be working in this field…..
For nearly 20 years I worked as a chef in London, the last 8 years working as a personal chef for high profile individuals and their families in their homes. It was whilst working as a personal chef that I realised that food really could be your medicine. Many of my clients had food constraints relating to their health. I was also struggling with my own health. Although I had always cooked in a healthy fashion, I was looking deeper and deeper into how food can affect the body. Eventually after many years of searching for what could be at the root of my own health issues I found out that I was coeliac. This was a revelation that the beautiful healthy food I had been cooking had actually been what was making me sick due to the gluten in it. I decided to take this all a step further and study nutrition. I changed my diet and the way I cooked and took it all in a different direction. I took control of my health, healed my gut, balanced my hormones and changed my lifestyle….it took many years but I have not looked back since!
I studied at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London for 3 years and qualified in 2014, starting my own clinic working as a nutritional therapist straight away. In 2017 I was given some clients with chronic bladder conditions or vagina health conditions via another practitioner who was leaving the country. This started my passion for intimate health and my mission to improve the outcome for women who live every day in pain or discomfort. I studied under Intimate Ecology with Moria Bradfield, along with many other courses around female health. Then in 2023 I spent a year studying behavioural change, as I could see how much this was needed for my clients.
I am constantly learning, and changing how I work so as to support my clients to the best of my ability.
I now run a busy intimate health clinic worldwide (time frame permitting) where I only see clients with intimate health issues. I mentor practitioners around their clients intimate health issues but I have written cooking courses that are based in science and these are available for both the public and practitioners.
My passion is still food, and because of this I do not put my clients on strict diets unless it is going to actually alleviate symptoms…..the opposite in fact, I feel that food and eating should be an enjoyable experience, but also a healthy one. Food should not be feared, but many clients come to me with a restricted diet as they have either put them selves on, or been put on diets for their specific condition by a previous practitioner. The food is not the problem, it is how your body is reacting to it. Part of my job is to get you to enjoy food again, to find enjoyment in life again. This is not a quick fix but it is possible, and many clients who have taken this journey with me have found not only relief from their symptoms but also a new found joy in food and in the kitchen.
